Since October 2006, Sberbank branches in Berezniki (Perm Region) have been equipped with the video surveillance system based on Macroscop IP camera software.
It was necessary to build a video surveillance system in several branches with a single monitoring center. Bank's security experts considered various options with analog cameras and IP cameras. IP camera solution turned out to be more cost-effective. In the case of analog cameras, network video recorders have to be mounted in each branch, whereas IP cameras do not require additional hardware and can easily be connected to the existing network.
When it was decided to set the IP-surveillance system, the bank's experts carefully approached the software selection. The main requirement was to ensure accident investigation. Macroscop IP camera software has been chosen as it provides a high-quality image from IP cameras' video stream and has an effective archive search tool.
Macroscop Intelligent module - Suspect search - significantly speeds up and simplifies object searches in the archive. Upload a photo of the object into the software (person, car, any moving object) or indicate its color, dimensions, position in the frame, and the system will output all objects contained in archival recordings from every camera that are similar to it. In the interception mode, the system will sound an alarm should a similar object appear in the field of view of a camera.
Now Macroscop works with 200 IP cameras, enables centralized monitoring over multiple locations, and successfully ensures the safety of bank's clients and employees.
